If I had to pick one project that changed the way I see myself as a creative, it would be Childstar.

At the time, it wasn’t even called Childstar yet.

I still remember getting on Zoom with Danna as she walked me through where she was emotionally. She knew one thing for sure: this era had to feel dark. Everything else was still waiting to be discovered.

That conversation became the beginning of an entire universe.

Together, we built a world that felt chaotic, rebellious, glamorous, and unapologetically raw. A place where music became a way to confront the demons that had followed her since becoming a public figure at just four years old.

When Danna first shared the original photoshoot with me, something wasn’t clicking. It didn’t feel like her. So before we even had the chance to reshoot anything, I opened the images she had texted me on WhatsApp and completely reimagined them with a new creative treatment. It wasn’t about fixing the photos—it was about proving there was a much bigger world hiding underneath them.

From there, everything started falling into place.

We redesigned the visual language from the ground up. The red star became the symbol of the era. The drain transformed into a portal—her own version of Alice falling down the rabbit hole—leading into a darker universe where everyone wanted something from her. As she falls, people keep watching. They keep applauding. Because even in her darkest moments, the spotlight never looks away.

That idea became the heart of the album cover.

From there, the universe kept expanding. We created four alternate covers, developed the visual identity of the era, and brought that world into the “ATARI” music video, where performance became a way for Danna to reclaim her sexuality and express herself on her own terms.

Looking back, Childstar gave me so much more than a project.

It taught me that I wasn’t just designing artwork or directing visuals—I was building worlds.

And honestly… that’s when I realized this is exactly what I’m meant to do.
